Slash Burning HQ
Larimer County permits burning of slash via its Open Burn Permit process. These permits are free, and can be obtained directly from Larimer County for burn dates between October 1 and March 31. Be sure to apply in advance (at least a week or two), because the permitting process takes several days.
Burn Permit Notification
On the day of your burn:
- Call the Larimer County Dispatch non-emergency number (970-416-1985) with:
- your name
- your address
- your burn permit number
- Fill out the form below to notify RCVFD.
Do not notify us of a burn in the future - it must be the day of the burn to meet weather requirements.
